The Port Melbourne Mariners are excited to announce the signing of Brazilian National Team pitcher Caio Araujo for the 2026/27 VSBL season!
Caio brings an impressive baseball résumé to PMBC, having competed at the NCAA Division I level with Alabama State University and represented Brazil on the international stage, including selection in the World Baseball Classic squad.
A proven performer on the mound, Caio adds experience, competitiveness and elite-level talent to our First Nine as we continue our push towards the top tier of Victorian baseball.
Not only is he a talented player, but Caio is also passionate about developing the next generation of baseballers and will play an important role within our growing junior program.

Our Premier 2 Reserves defeated Berwick in an absolute nail biter of a game 9-8. Congratulations to both teams, it was a game you want to watch when coming to a grand final. Thank you too all our players, coaches, scorers, umpires for your hard work and dedication throughout the season. CARN PORT!
